We helped with the renovation of a cherished railway cottage in Frankton, Hamilton — a century-old treasure protected by heritage status. The team at Montage breathed new life into this iconic home with a kitchen designed to combine affordability with timeless charm. Every detail, meticulously chosen, serves to honour the home’s legacy while embracing modern convenience. Intricate handle choices and a custom-made pot hanger with LED lighting, crafted from Rimu to harmonize with the floor and skirting boards, add subtle touches of character. Hand painted tiles in the splash back match the colour of the original coal range. Additionally, we re-faced the cupboard doors surrounding the coal range for continuity throughout the home, seamlessly blending heritage design with functionality. This project is a testament to our commitment to preserving history while ensuring that every renovation reflects the unique spirit of its space.
