Custom kitchen Te Kowhai + Wardrobes & Fireplace Surround
This brief for this home was “bold” and “not all white”. It features Superwhite, a natural granite with a leathered finish, for the island a splashback combined with a dekton back-bench and upstand to ledge, a small feature to complement in the black LED lighting. Dekton was chosen for this work bench due to its porcelain composition and it’s heat resistance. The negative detail handles are constructed out of the same timber laminate to give that truly seamless look and this is also used as the fireplace surround panelling. The dekton has also been used as the benchtop in the laundry and the wardrobes are built in featuring bi-fold doors and push to open drawers for that seamless and minimal aesthetic.
